Yin to Yawn with Cheryl Brown | February 2 – March 9
Yin to Yawn – Sunday, February 2 – March 9 from 4 – 5 pm with Cheryl Brown
A Cozy Journey into Deep Rest: A winter-inspired yin to restorative yoga session, where you’re invited to cocoon in the warmth and calm of your own body. Yin poses will help release connective tissues of the body before moving into supportive, restorative poses allowing you to ease into a state of stillness, much like the stillness of a snow-covered forest.
Using props like blankets, bolsters, and blocks, you can sink into each pose with a sense of safety, like wrapping up in a cozy sweater. As you move through yin-based postures, you’re encouraged to release tension and let your body melt with each exhale, embodying the slowing pace of nature. As you rest in restorative postures, you will feel the grounding energy of winter, supporting and nourishing you, helping you release what’s no longer needed, and preparing you to emerge renewed when the season shifts once more. This offering will be held in-studio only from 4-5 pm on Sunday, February 2 – March 9. There will be no class on Sunday, February 9 (Super Bowl Sunday).
