Kim Korson

A lifelong (and driven) athlete, Kim discovered the transformative power of yoga shortly after her husband died in early 2008 and returned to practice later as a means of coping with an unhealthy second marriage. The second marriage ended, and in the process, yoga became an integral part of her daily life. Kim believes that the beauty of yoga lies in its invitation for us to tune into our bodies, minds and emotions. And that the true power of the practice is exemplified in our daily lives, not on our mats.

Kim’s passion for the practice led her to complete a 200-hour teaching training course at It’s Yoga in Cincinnati, OH and acquire the RYT 200 certification through the Yoga Alliance in 2017. Since that time her thirst for the practice has led Kim to study with several teachers including Judith Hanson Lasater, Bernie Clark, Kristin Luna Ray, Becky Morrisey, and Linda Oshins. She has also become an anatomy nerd! Kim successfully completed her 500-hour RYT certification in 2021 through Indigo Yoga’s Teacher Training program.

On the mat, she found that if nothing else landed, her default intention was always “playful focus” – a reminder to practice with purpose, to be intentional in thought and movement, and to have fun. Kim believes that functional and fun movement, filled with attention and intention, is the key to a healthy body and mind.

Off the mat, Kim is the Chief Operations Officer for a local financial planning practice. She is perpetually learning and enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, gardening, cooking and participating in triathlon.
