Alia Sove
Alia is a heart-centered being devoted to love, presence and wholeness through yoga. A corporate-lawyer-turned-yoga-instructor, she now accompanies others along their healing journeys. Alia fell in love with yoga _asana _during the dark winter of 2020 and became an avid student immediately. Following the call to dive deeper into the spiritual side
of yoga, she completed 200-Hour yoga teacher training at Day Yoga Studio in July 2022 and has been teaching weekly classes since. In 2023, Alia earned additional certification as a breathwork facilitator.
As an instructor, Alia delights in holding space to empower fellow humans to rekindle their divine spark and return home to the heartspace. A leader in challenging classes, she encourages each student to lovingly expand beyond their comfort zone while maintaining a curious, playful mindset. Alia also adores guiding gentle, slow classes to mindfully explore the subtle aspects of yoga, including _pranayama_ (breathwork) and meditation. In every class, she encourages students to notice
sensations, deepen the breath, and unwind tension held within the body.
In addition to yoga, Alia lights up leading kirtan (chanting the Holy Names) and facilitates sound healing, energy healing and EFT tapping. Off the mat, she loves hiking, playing with her two cats, and building intentional community. Together, Alia and her husband Christopher lead workshops, retreats and weekly experiences in Dayton and throughout the Midwest.
