Cheryl Brown

I am a certified yoga instructor with a 200-hour certification from Day Yoga and a 300-hour certification from Indigo Yoga. My passion lies in guiding restorative yoga practices, creating a space for deep relaxation and renewal. I believe in the profound benefits of rest, allowing both the body and mind to restore balance and find peace.

After years of dedication to teaching mild-to-moderate special education at a credit recovery high school, I will soon be retiring from my position. I am looking forward to renewing my connection with both community and nature.

When I’m not on the mat, I enjoy soaking in the beauty of nature—whether among the trees or by the beach, especially during my favorite seasons, summer and fall. I enjoy being in nature because breathing in the fresh air, listening to the sounds of nature, feeling the textures of trees or sand, and observing the natural surroundings all bring me peace and joy.

Through movement, guided meditations, and poems about nature, I hope to help students cultivate mindfulness, release tension, and embrace stillness in their practice and daily lives. My goal is to share the healing power of yoga and nature, creating a deeper connection to both the body and the natural world. I look forward to sharing this journey with you!
